  Follow up on my question yesterday about being df'd for being disrespectful to elders.

  i really have appreciated the suggestions on how to respond to the elders recent behavior of attempting to find a way to disfellowship me and trying to push their way into my home by force.

  thank you it's been most helpful to see many different perspectives.. the following post is lengthy as i'm also addressing a related topic to anyone reading this site who is not a witness but even considering joining.

  you will see once again how the jw religion destroys families for their own members, those who try to leave quietly, and even the family members who were raised in it yet were never baptized.

  We all make choices. I'm sure your dad made this choice long before he was 90. Don't be so hard on yourself. Sure it could be better, Israel and the Palestinians could be good neighbors too, but that ain't happening either. I would just get used to it. Count your blessings. Poor old guy doesn't know what he's missing. get the manager to post the "keep out sign" and put JW's on it. If its signed "the management" you're off the hook.

  i remember an elder questioning a woman who had admitted to giving and receiving oral sex from her unbelieving mate.

  he asked her the most intimate questions which clearly flustered her.

  interestingly, she “confessed “ to the elders because her conscience bothered her.

  in the market today, i walked down an aisle and glanced over at a middle-aged man and the woman beside him pushing a shopping cart.

  i couldn't place the man but recognized the somewhat younger woman, a former student.

  when the fellow started talking, i realized it was her brother, also a one-time student.

  last night's memorial talk in my cong went into graphic gruesome details about the torture of jesus and how the stake killed people.

  i mean medical level graphic description!

  step by step details of each injury and how it killed!

  I experienced one of those sort of memorial talks at the Hall I attended. I have to admit it was intense. It was not child friendly. The speaker is inactive now, I guess it didn't have much of an impact on his faith.

  don’t know if it was part of the script.. at the memorial the remark about growing annointed numbers including this numbers from 2015 to 2017 was made (from 13.000 to 18.000+).. reason for the growing numbers could be:.

  - feeling annointed because of former believe.

  - psychical reasons.

  Magic numbers, 144,000 etc. Its a house of cards ready to crash again as it did in 1914 when the big "A" didn't occur and many left. Its like waves going in and out. 1918, 1925, 1948, 1975, 1986, 2000 and on and on. This magic number was supposed to fade to nothing. Now it grows every year. Something isn't right.   boyfriend ex jehovah witness please help

  so i posted yesterday.

  my boyfriend and i have been living together for a year, and he went to the memorial tonight (sorry if that’s not what it’s called).

  i told him i was upset he didn’t invite me but wasn’t going to tell him not to go because he hasn’t talked to his family for over a year.

  Sorry, but all you have invested in this relationship for the last year is about to go poof! He has a recurring cancer of a religion which is growing in his mind and about to kill any loyalty to you. You do not want any part of this cult. Any kids you have together would be subject to a life of exclusion and loneliness. If he returns to the cult he would likely dump you. Just end it. This has played out a thousand times. Learn from others and spare yourself further hurt.

  thus, its weight could not have been carried entirely, but rather it had to be dragged.. get a log with no crosspiece, one substantial enough to nail a man to, and try to drag it through town.

  i bought a book that was published by one brother in our area.

  the title, if only, the brother didnt change his name he is, alex bogdanov, to support this brother i bought his book.

  it is fiction about couples and i didnt think nothing of it, but after reading a few chapters one of the characters is an ex jw, i don’t think this character is disfellowshipped in the book, but she is definitely not active.

  How the hell old are you Catcat? Welcome to the forum, but start using that noggin of yours. Reason it out. This will help you in many aspects of life. If a book questions the Society in any way you could say its "doubting." Is the doubting malicious or sincere? Either way in WT world its apostasy. Good luck getting that thinker in gear.
